Title: Remap/ suspension
Post by: Hali on 04 January 2014, 14:35
Gonna book my aum in with r-tech soon so was wondering will I need aftermarket suspension or will the standard suspension cope with it?

Don't wanna have to lower it and change the anti roll bar wanna keep it at the standard hight.

I dont think you have grasped what a remap is bud.

Your car will be quicker..so just take it easy on the corners as you will feel more understeer on the gti's when booting it around bends..but a remap doesnt effect suspension nothing to do with it.

I think He means will the standard suspension be able to cope with the increased power/speed or will it be too powerful in the corners

And I think you will find the answer to be if you plan on using the power in the corners then no it will be terrible haha

But if you taje the corners at the sane soeed you do now it won't make a difference

bilstien b6's will work with the standard springs, a rear anti roll bar will help cure some understeer too, dont forget better brakes.

Agreed, my Skoda was on standard suspension and 120k and was fine with a remap..
