Post by: jamie111289 on 03 January 2014, 18:44
Hi just purchased a golf gti and just wondered what I would need to remove dumpvalve it's not the standard one it's a forge and I don't like the sound and it's making the car run lumpy cheers for any advice

Are you sure it's a dump valve and not a diverter valve? I doubt a forge d/v would make the car run lumpy :undecided:

Yeah it's a d/v and it's just what I've been reading up that it makes it run lumpy and I can't keep at the same speed on the motorway seems like the dv is always opening and closing what would I need to remove it?

Sounds like a forge split-r... if its in the standard location there will be two pipes its connected too and one vacum pipe at the top of it..just loosen the clips the pipes are held by and take the dv out...get a forge 007 or 008
