Don't expect good mpg from a V10 diesel

tbh I wouldn't expect good mpg from a 5.0 v10 tdi I'm more interested in the torque they chuck out seen one on 5th gear towing a f**king jumbo jet like it was a caravan lol

Drive a lot of the volvos back from the stealers so we can mot them. Xc90's are a lovely place to be, but I'd look at a v70 - d5 engine and manual.
If that's too big the v50's are good too, especially the D4 R designs. Go like furking stink and good mpg's to boot

From the horror stories I have read I would steer clear of the V10 and the range rover.

One of my customers 2007 Range Rover Supercharged V8 4.2 is a fantastic car and has been brilliant if a bit juicy.
However her brand new one 2013 4.0 turbo diesel was absolutely nothing but trouble before it went back for a refund.

The 07 TDI is pretty good as well, cant comment on the newer ones though

That's because the parts that go wrong will cost the purchase price and more, if it craps itself.
That goes for most big, cheap old 4x4s.

gone off the idea of a 5.0 v10 tdi under 20 mpg is crazy, now looking at an 04-05 merc ml 270 cdi
-
Great idea - I mean, what could possibly go wrong with a big off roader built for Germans in America?
