Has anyone else noticed the internal door seals (close to the roof) are always wet after rain and have a tendency to drip water on to your seat or you as you enter the car?
-
That was a big problem in the Mk6. I was told it was due to modern cars that were gutterless!
-
Yep my MK6 does that & so does the Amarok pick-up. I'll find out tomorrow if the MK7 does it too!
-
I don't get that, but I do get a shed load of water collecting at the base of both doors, so after a downpour you open the door and it all comes gushing out onto the floor, so have to remember to stand slightly back!
-
I get this too.
I think it might be a result of the double door seal design. I get nothing coming inside and it's nicely designed in such a way that water doesn't drop onto the seat when you open the door.

Me too. Everytime you open the rear doors water drops in to the car

Into the car? That's not good - I think I'd be talking to the dealer if that happened. Where does the water fall from - on my car the water gathers below the seal so it falls on the road when I open the car rather than into the car.

It drops like one or two drops onto the rear seat ever so little.
