ya I had 4 codes before (cylinder 1,2,3,4 open circuit) so I replaced the ignition coil loom and then a day later I got the knocking noise

I thought I would bump because I still have this problem and cant figure it out has anyone any ideas. I have started thinking it might be the ecu or the ecu relay

did you try your ignition amp or coil packs ?
-
there is no ignition amp in mine and I sent it in for recall and got 4 new coil packs but it did nothing
-
have you still got your old coil packs or can get a hold of some. try swapping the coils out again for your old ones or 4 known good ones ie from another car.
check your earths as well and make sure your ground is going from the coil pack harness to a direct ground under the battery tray.

I still have the old coils, I will try them tomorrow.
not sure about the ground because I have already completely removed the the loom for coils, injectors and all the sensors and found no problems. should I connect the earth for the coils to the battery earth
