This is not good news at all. Here's hoping that he makes a full and healthy recovery.
Not my favourite driver or sportsman but you wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Saw this earlier and the story said everything was minor and he walked it off!
Didn't ski this coming
The BBC are saying:
"The 44-year-old German suffered a serious brain trauma, was in a coma on his arrival and has undergone a brain operation, the Grenoble hospital said."
These things always seem to escalate with skiing accidents and head injuries, it is a similar situation to Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson. Everything seems ok at first and then.......well.

Here's hoping he makes a full recovery.
I wasn't a huge fan of his first time round as he came across as quite arrogant and ruthless, however there was no denying his skills as a racing driver.
As time goes on you appreciate how good he actually was. It's a bit like Vettel, i really don't like the guy just now but its probably more to do with how boring F1 has become because of his dominance.
Second time round i really wanted MS to win a grand prix and put the young pretender in his place but unfortunately it wasnt meant to be.

They are saying the impact was so hard that if he had not been wearing a helmet he would have died instantly
