Has anyone else noticed the SD card slot in the drop down door of the driver-side small stowage compartment. Noticed it first yesterday, and the manual refers to a coin holder. Mine has an SD logo above the slot, so I'm assuming that it's for storing a spare card only.
-
not sure where you are talking about? - not talking about the main glove box storage?
-
No, the small compartment on the extreme right side of the dashboard - about level with the driver's right knee. Page 160 in the Driver's Manual.
-
ooo i've not got a slot in tehre, may an added optional extra? - part of sat nav pro or something?
-
I don't have the sat nav option. Just seems a strange place to have an SD card slot, rather than in the glove box.

Here's a quick picture - apologies for the quality.(http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac329/alanhhudson/IMG_2379_zps8690407c.jpg) (http://s912.photobucket.com/user/alanhhudson/media/IMG_2379_zps8690407c.jpg.html)

It looks like a place to store a spare SD card?
-
That's what I thought, and was just wondering if it's standard. I haven't seen anyone else mention it.
-
I have this on mine too. Doesn't look like it's wired into anything and there are no contacts inside. Like you say, probably just a slot for a spare card.
-
good spot and thanks for the pic! :) - will check mine tomorrow :)

So not for nuclear launch codes. Shame.
-
I have this and think it's just a storage compartment for an SD card. I've got the basic Nav.
-
Its a spare SD slot. I keep a card in there on mine

I can confirm that the SD slot is not wired to anything as I've had my stowage compartment drawer out.
