On the side of the throttle body the side you would see when looking into the engine bay as normal the is a three pin plug my top wire of that plug as snapped from the plug can't be fixed what does this top wire do I have spare loom just haven't changed it.with this wire not connected has caused no running problems either.

Does it go in the breather?

It's on the throttle body it's self maybe tips not sure.

Its probably the Throttle position sensor plug
pin 3 goes to earth
pin 1 and 2 go back to ECU
Depending on what cable/connection is broken is wont read throttle closed, open or a resistance value on position of butterfly valve.
3 pin plugs with pins can be bought easily, but if your local I may have a plug and the pin removal tools
