Cheers budd thats great in the youtube vid th guy pulled the mirrior bk towards the bonnet just didn't want to break it dnt need to pull forward tbf any ideas on the mirrior base removal?
-
Nope none what so ever as ive never even looked at doing this (just come across it when looking how to remove and fit interior led lights today), will be in the new year as fancy having carbon wrapped mirrors to go with my roof
-
Well thats i wot want to take base off for a bit of paint, you can get carbon mirrior covers tho
-
Do you want to remove the mirror completely from the car?
-
Would be nice but at £79 (http://www.madmotors.co.uk/exterior-styling/wing-mirrors/mm-vw-golf-mk6-08-12-carbon-wing-mirror-covers.html) is a lot to spend just for wing mirrors, maybe if I like it I might splash out and get a set but want an APR air box 1st

Yes mate complete removal. Theres a set on ebay £50

Removing the whole mirror is easy. Unclip the trim with the tweeter in to give access to the mirror fixing bolts. Remove the door card and unplug the mirror wires from the control unit. Job done.
