Is there anything i need to know baught a chip Saturday (from thai-wronghorse and many others parts thank you)

Is there anything i need to know before fitting like special tools is anything likely to break.
Best way to remove plug from ECU and get it out.

Any help would be appreciated

Big thanks to thai-wronghorse for explaining but it was raining and was only a quick conversation.
Just dont want to frigg it up

The guide is the same. Just be careful is all when placing the pins in the tiny holes so you don't bend them. Disconnect battery first obviously.

Seriously mate like I explained to you its a doddle on an ABF.

Disconnect the battery.
Remove the three plastic screws from the scuttle tray and pull that out the way.
Disconnect the vacuum pipe on the ECU
Slide raised parts of  the electrical plug towards you and it will come away.
Undo the two 10mm bolts holding the ECU in position and remove from car.
Remove 4 torx screws in the end of the ECU and the 2 pozi screws holding the cage onto the casing.
You may need to use a small flat screwdriver to help prise open the seal if its never been opened before the carefully slide out the PCB.
Youll see a thin chrome plated box inside, very carefully prise the lid off working you way around the edge, note the location of the retaining lugs so refitting isnt too stressful.
Once this is removed you will see the chip you want to replace, VERY CAREFULLY prise it up from it's socket on the board.

Replace and refit in reverse order....
