Title: Bi-Xenons
Post by: robw09 on 20 December 2013, 14:51
Apologies to the moderators in advance as I can see some links already, but the subject appears to be a bit of a minefield.

Guys & girls, I have just purchased a Mk6 Golf 2.0TDI GT (2010) as a family.  I have a Mk2 GTI myself  and persuaded the wife that his and hers golfs would not look silly!

It comes with the winter pack so has the headlight washers and was wondering about whether to upgrade to a factory(ish) bi-xenon set-up.

Disclaimer - Many assumptions have already been made.....

I don't mind spending a bit of money on this, nor do I mind doing the work myself, but I do want a set-up that is close to OEM Bi-Xenon (not hugely bothered about LED DRLs) and is legal with the levellers etc.
Is there anyone who I can PM to walk me through, in other words they have done it, what is needed to buy from where and what to do?  I would really apprieciate any guidance here.

Thanks in advance.
Rob

Saw them.  No, not that deep.  More like 1k ish i was looking at spending.  I think having someone else (company) do it would prove to expensive.  Someone as a backhander, maybe.

I have done this and I put the parts needed in the Xenons thread in the maintenance section HERE (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=165998.580)
