Hope the clutch never needs to be changed in your ownership :lipsrsealed:
Lad I work with has one (albeit on a 55reg) and quality is shocking. I'm jealous of its lift off over steer though and does handle exceptionally!
-
basically why i bought it, its the most fun diesel hatchback out there, i'll just have to deal with stuff breaking. Bit like owning a mk4 minus the fun bit
-
no need to mock you.
The fact of what it is, is enough

my 225 megane was 1 of the best standard cars I have taken round a track

Unfortunately they're as exceptional as they are bad. Good with the bad though

Absolutely loved my 206 GTi 180, great fun to drive, fairly quick and a decent interior.
It was short lived though as electrical fault after fault ended with the car dead in my driveway.
The French can style a car and in my opinion build some of the best Diesel engines around however their electrics are shocking (if you pardon the pun)
Personally I quite like the Megan Sport, not a fan of the new ones.
don't let them beat you down veedubgti16v
-
Yeah it's got a silky smooth engine, well compared to the pd150 at least, and doesn't rattle half as much! The trouble with the electrics is absolutely everything is auto, keyless etc so there is loads to go wrong if given the chance. Still, vag aren't exactly reliable these days so might as well get something with a good chassis. The interior is sh!t in comparison though
mate you can't put a french car on a vw site without abuse!

Gave it a good wax before the salt appears back on the roads

I like it...... Looks nicer then a mk4

Don't know if this model was affected, but I believe there was a recall for electric window motor, as they had a ha bit of catching fire. A car at my work suffer from it, was strange to see a burnt out car and not be in Essex.
I like the Renault cars, would happily own a Clio Sport as a daily alongside my Golf.
-
yikes, haven't heard of them catching fire! they do fail on this model though, they have been changed on this one already and its only done 45k!
I repaired and re-fixed the undertray today after driving in tuesday's floods pulled it off. French fixings are proper sh!t

Been out in this and I like it (for a diesel!).
