Title: Vw bora will not start

Ok it's my dads car and he sent me this. He basically drove Liverpool to London fine went back to the car and it wouldn't start.

It's a ahf mechanical pump, turned the car off, came back, wouldn't start, turns over, glow plug, lights up briefly, run a cable from the live batterie terminal to the pump solenoid , car starts straight away, take the wire off the batterie it cuts out,

check all your fuses are ok. failing that therll be a break in the wire somewheres
