Title: Header Tank Part No.
Post by: Stirring Moose on 16 December 2013, 11:57
On the hunt for a coolant header tank for '95 Valver. Main part number is 1H0121407 but there seems to be two versions; 1H0121407A and 1H0121407C. Had a search on here and a good wander round the net as a whole and there doesn't seem to be any definitive info on what the difference is, if there is one. Apologies for a kind of sad and boring little question but anyone got any ideas?

I think one is perfectly round like a ball and the other is slightly oval.I had round ones on all my 8v and 16v but my vr6 had an oval one.

the 1H0121407A was superseded by 1H0121407C according to my listings (it possibly went from blue to red writing for example, that's enough for a new part number!)

febi only sell 1 that covers all abf's and my parts guide shows
VW Equivalent Part numbers:
1H0121407A
1H0121407C
357121407A
357121407C

Thanks for the info guys. Actually had a word with the local Stealers about this, mainly for a laugh, and they seemed to know nothing of the later C suffix. They only had A listed (£53 if you're interested ). If the two are basically interchangeable I'll just have a snoop on the 'Bay and see what's about.
