Hi guys
Ok, just wondering options IF now or in the future I wanted to change the Ed35's sound/power ?
IE
exhaust
intake
chip
I love the low growl the engine makes as standard and would love to rearly enhance that .....
Whats recommended and cost wise / DIY ability required.....
Which effect mpg the worst ....
Any advice much appreciated guys
cheers

You could always turn up the 'fake' engine and intake note generated by the soundaktor fitted on the ed35...
On a serious note the soundaktor is the reason why the 35 sounds gruffer than the normal mk6 gti, personally I hate the noise it makes but have almost gotten used to it now and can tolerate it, will be looking to unplug it when I have my catback exhaust fitted though!

fair enough,
"is the reason why the 35 sounds gruffer than the normal mk6 gti"
and the fact its a different engine
I suppose some will like it, some wont... my missus loves it over the standard mk6 gti we had... but then she likes shallow/fake noises

Different engine or not, sadly any aural improvement over the mk6 tsi other than slightly more diesel like tickover as the TFSi lump is a noisy old beast but I'll admit is more akin to a gti than the smoother mk6 tsi is a big fat VW fake lol! My ed35 with the soundaktor unplugged sounds no different to how my mk5 gti or my mk5 ed30 did..
