Title: Oil - capacity & type for TDI 130bhp??
Post by: NotMyName on 15 December 2013, 23:11
New car just been bought to replace a trashed VR6. 2002 plated 130bhp TDI.

2 questions:

1) What's the capacity when doing an oil change?

2) What would you recommend? I usually buy for my own car from opieoils. Oh the budget would be somewhere around £30-£40 btw. And that's £30-£40, not £40+ :)

VW want £51 for the stuff.

Sod that.

What'd you recommend off of Opie Oils then?

Try: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/quantum_oils.php for the oil I always find them a lot cheaper than the dealers

Cheers fella.

I read on a forum (not this one) that the longlife stuff, but changed regular is the better option.

On that note, and for the sake of a few quid difference, would you go for this one: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1141
