Hello what is this option for? I can't find it in the manual ??
-
It monitors how much energy is being used by various systems, mainly the air conditioning, it's a bit crap tbh.
-
My screen keeps starting up with this for some reason too. If I ever switch the car off on car data I find it starts up with this useless screen. Very annoying. I get all sorts of error messages popping up lately too. Unable to read source, telephone connection disablef, USB error. It's like a new one every day, lol.
-
If it starts on that you probably have air-con and perhaps heated mirrors and rear window on?
Do you have eco tips enabled? You can turn those off in the settings so it might be part of that.
-
Nope. All of them are switched off and so are Eco tips. Isit when you start in Eco mode maybe?

Hmm yeah could be then, I've had it once or twice, so could be that.

I had eco mode on for the first time today and when i went to look at my mpg stats it had automatically set the screen to conv. consumers.

Cheers all, kind of confirms what me and my mates thought..it's a bit useless.
Had the GTI now for 4 days. The suspension is a bit harsh isn't it? My spine must be 2" shorter!
-
Shouldn't be that harsh mate. It making any noises?

All depends on perspective... and what you're used to, if you've come from a Roller, a 70s Citroen with air suspension or a Jag you might find the ride a little "nuggetty"... if you've come from an Audi S-Line you'll find it very cosseting...
I agree, though, shouldn't be harsh by most measures... given the type of car they are the GTI/GTD ride very well.
-
No, i checked for packing on the shocks and didn't see anything. I'm guessing it's just hard

My sister who is used to being driven around in a new A Class said my GTI was a very smooth ride. That was in comfort though

Mistertee, might be worth a check out. I think most of us here are really impressed with the ride quality
