Title: Headlights - left or right hand setting ?

Hoping someone can shed some light on this (no pun intended!). The headlights direction setting in the handbook says use setting for 'left or right hand drive', whereas on the car menu it says use for 'left or right hand traffic'. As the car is right hand drive, but left hand traffic - no idea which setting is correct. Anyone else had this confirmed ?

Yes I know what you mean.

It is left-hand traffic setting and I have had no problems.

Mine is set to left hand traffic, thought that would be right?

You might have to resort to parking up against a wall so you can see the beam pattern and seeing what each setting does!

Yep, will only allow changing when stationary and will/should be on left hand traffic for the UK

Have played with the setting and you can see the lights re-adjust with the emphasis moving to the right and back again. Will be useful for those little trips over the channel.

Left hand traffic for right hand drive (confusing term VW uses - everyone talks in left or right hand drive).
