i have the standard tape deck / radio then i have a cd player above it
I'm looking at putting in a alpine cd player to replace the original stereo
would this go in direct replacement to original cd player or would both have to be removed ????

Straight swap and then replace the old CD unit with a cubby box. Or go double din.

thanks i guess it would be removing both
didn't want to do double din and yet i have lol
oh well
what is it like to remove the old units ???

Straight forward - you need to slide the keys into the vertical slots (shiuld be near the edges) and then pull the unit out. Keys are available from eBay and Halfords. If you replace the other stock unit with a cubby hole then note that you willl need the right cubby depending on if you place it above or below your new unit.

when i picked the new one up the lad had a golf and had the original keys was cheeky and got him to fit it lol not that i couldn't of done it lol
anyway all in now and just fitted the phone mic
so works sweet
p.s i bought a double din in the end was only going for a single din until i grabbed my current setup cheap
