Rang up Vw the other day to order the inlet manifold gaskets to go with my genuine rocker cover gasket only to get told they are obsolete? I realise you can get pattern ones but was quite surprised
-
I bought rocker, throttle body and upper/lower inlet gaskets for mine from VW 7/8 months ago. TPS should have them though, and be cheaper then VW.
-
I just thought it best to replace stuff like that with genuine parts
-
Get some gasket paper and make your own.

Silicone

Many parts will not be supplied by VW for our cars nowadays.
Been using GSF a lot lately and most of the time those parts are made by the original suppliers!

Yeah true. I found a set for £10 on ebay. Item number 200940192648

Silicone
That will spooge through on the inside and does not account for the flatness error between flanges, you want a good seal

they are a good price (although an unknown brand!!) I can get Elring from Germany but post certainly add's the cost up! (£10 for both gaskets but post is also £10!)

Complete and utter bodge, will cause more issues in the long run.
