The ground strap from the body to the bonnet near the ecu on the top left has snapped...is this needed for something important or can i ignore it??
-
it only matters if your battery shorts on the bonnet (or the heater washer jets fail and short out) Mine dosen't have one connected and t.b.h it's a small risk I don't mind having
-
They've all been broken or about to break on all 5 mk3's ive owned and none of them have spontaneously combusted.
-
Mk3s are to wet and rusty to burn
-
Mine was broken when I got the car and thats nearly 11 years ago now!
-
Same happened to mine just recently. Going to grab one of the washer things with a part to crimp the wire, along with some wire.
