I have a 2004 gti, auq engine code. my turbo wont boost, car is running sound, no noises, not using oil, no smoke or anything.
When stopped if I rev it I can hear the turbo spool but it wont spool under load.
Has anyone ever seen this before
-
is it mapped if not, mine was lame before it was mapped
-
Also scan it for any faults. :smug:
-
Its not mapped but it is running around 210bhp.
ive scanned it and no fault codes

210bhp from a non mapped auq
-
6 bar fuel pressure and 1.2 bar boost
-
It must be mapped. The auq was 180 standard anything higher I'. Sorry it's mapped.
To answer your question I'd take a guess that you have a boost leak.

its not mapped. Ive done all the work myself
mods are fmic, ebc, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, walbro 255 fuel pump and diode mod
-
Then you have made adjustments and your car would naturally need a map now that's your issue.
-
take the diode mod off, it might have chucked the car into limp mode. euther that or the actuator has gone soft

I don't want to map it yet cause im currently doing a big turbo upgrade.
Did you ever hear of a wastegate flapper breaking.

I don't think its the diode because I had limp mode before and it was running 3psi but now it only stays in vacuum it wont even hit 0 psi
but ill try removing it anyway and see what happens
-
actuator still connected?

actuator still connected?
ya its connected. should it be easy to move it by hand
-
Not really...

Not really...
It moves very easy and it springs back when I let go.
Is there any way to test it without removing the turbo

I scanned the car again and I got 6 fault code and have no idea how to fix
p0102 maf sensor
p0507 idle control system rpm
p1355 cylinder 1 ignition circuit
p1358 cylinder 2 ignition circuit
p1361 cylinder 3 ignition circuit
p1364 cylinder 4 ignition circuit

have you checked with vw to see if your car is due coil packs under the recall they had
