Thought I would start this and post pics later! (if I can mange to do that from my fone on here!)
Anyhow have made a start andstill undecided whether to polish it fully or paint it!
Remember this will be exposed when all is finished as there will be no inlet manifold! Throttle bodies instead.
So if I dont polish it I may paint it light blue and add some red lettering saying - 16V abf

I would get it painted Len, it will look a lot neater than polished IMO.
-
Leaning that way Luke.
Have spent an awful lot of time to get it to the satge it is now and realise how much more work is needed.
Just have to find a colour I like inengine paint!
Would brake caliper paint be mane enough?
-
I got my mk4 rocker and inlet powder coated. Looks the works
-
Any pics of that on here sharki?
-
I paint all my engines with std car paint, never had any issues with them (even on the turbo Passat)
-
For the really professional finish then powder coating is the way forward. Here's a link to powder coated rocker cover pics from google

Good luck deciding.

Oh Luke you swine! I love some of those!
But with Boney saying that I will first be trying some enamel paint.
I do have a spare if i dont like how it turns out!

Its already half polished.
Just have to make it flat with no digs in it!
