Not sure if this has been mentioned but if it has I can't find it. Basically after my IOS7 update the bluetooth system in the car is not able to look up my phonebook anymore meaning I have to find the number to dial it. Kind of ruins the whole concept behind bluetooth.
Anyone had this issue and thus no how to resolve it?
Its the berry bluetooth btw I think, the one that has an additional screen and sits next to the nag system.

Have you tried re-importing your phonebook?
-
Have you tried deleting your phone from the car's system and reconnecting it as a new phone?
No issues with mine following the iOS update (it's oem bluetooth)
-
I don't import it just accesses the phone.
I'm assuming you mean delete the pairing and add as new device. Hadn't thought of that I'll give it a go!

Yes, delete the pairing and start again.
Or maybe do a hard reset on the phone. Recently my rcd510 stopped reading my iPod. I tried new cables etc, but in the end I did a hard reset on the actual iPod (press and hold sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously for 10 secs) and the car recognised it perfectly again.

You ever had an issues with charging ur iPod. Kinda different issue but recently bought one for the arm text but it doesn't charge! Any ideas what that could be?
-
No issues with charging. What cable/ adapters are you using? I use the oem MDI cable with genuine Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter attached. Some third party adapters don't work properly.
-
OEM cable it's an old ipod 5th gen so I can just leave in there or that was the idea but NLT lasts a few days.
I was thinking maybe my cables had it and buy a new one, just money wasted if it doesn't fix it.
Bk to the phone book issue ha ha just tried all above and no joy. I was thinking it may need updating but it says plug into PC, so assuming another cable I may need to purchase!
Why can't things just work...
-
Yeah, it's never simple is it!!
Re your phone issue - what needs plugging into PC? The bluetooth device?
I purchased a spare mdi cable as they tend to split due to having to bend them severely in order to fit ipod into arm rest slot (poor design). Original still working but sheath is all split and insulating wires all broken so I expect it to die soon.
-
Yeah the bluetooth module, it just clips of so must need a wire to connect for an update.
Regarding my cable its split also at the bend so unsure if this is why its not charging. Still plays fine though
