I am working on some group buy's or/and special offer prices for parts on the Mk3 range and need some feedback on what people want. Is there any particular type of products that people want most? and any particular brand(s) that people want offers on?
I have thought about Coilovers & suspension kit's, brake kits (std & uprated maybe) and also common failure parts so we can keep them on the road longer.
Oh and I'm thinking service kit's using quality parts with the bonus of good discounts (and correctly supplied parts)
Let me have some inspiration folks and hopefully we can get some special forum deals sorted
-
come on people, everyone likes a deal
So I'm doing this as research to try and make some happen!

I really want to get a milltek lol . But yh good idea but I think people havnt replyed because its still fairly easy to get parts for the mk3 :/

It's easy to get the common stuff but it would be better to get some discounts
Jetex Exhaust, Brembo/Mintex disks/pads
I am working on Jetex (and a few other exhaust suppliers) and brembo and/or mintex are already being looked into (as pad/disc set's). I am also looking at ate brakes (as they are/were a main mk3 o.e supplier)
-
Yea some really expensive brake kits!
Decat pipes or high flow CATS
Suspension bushes
-
Front VR splitters that dont crack grrrr.
(if you can find who makes them and what material they are using I can supply something better)
-
I would like good quality coilovers, bushes, I like the cat idea!
Coilovers would be my first choice though as I want to buy decent ones in January!
-
A stainless Jetex catback at a good price would be decent!
-
Sills, floor pans and rust proofing
-
Decent front top mounts powerflex ?
-
so looking at replies so far. If I could do (these are as straight discount deals)
Vmaxx coilovers (fixed damping) at £381 (a saving of £30)
Vmaxx coilovers (adj damping) at £481 (a saving of £41)
Novus de-cat pipe 16v at £52
Pipercross ind kit 16v at £91.90 (saving 10%)
Brembo max 280mm f discs and brembo pads for £160 (discs alone retail at other places for £182!)
Nology HT lead set 2.0 8v or 16v & Nology silver spark plug set for £130 (saving over 13%)
would them type of discounts interest people? (I am working on poly bushes!! oh and jetex!)

That seller on ebay offers pads for £28.08 so the price is the same overall but I know If there's enough interest and I stock them I should be able to beat that price?
-
Yeah if you can beat that price I will be definitely in as I am looking to change my brakes and pads to Brembo. Also possibly see if you can get deal on rears too mate
-
What about springs and shocks?

the only problem with brembo max is they only do 280mm front discs (otherwise it's std brembo's, even ate only do 280mm in grooved versions, I am searching for some cheaper sport discs and have found currently zimmermann drilled in 288mm which are quite well priced)
What about springs and shocks?
I can do fk suspension kit's and I'm looking at sachs/boge with eibach or similar springs (maybe h&r?)
-
i will also need to change front discs and pads fairly soon, was going to go black diamond but if theres a good deal going on some other 288s i might wait
manifolds maybe??
-
A deal on standard Brembos will still be great

I have remus exhausts on board but I am also speaking (trying) to sort a deal with a German exhaust maker that does do manifolds (and cat pipes etc)
Regards Brembo, I have a deal in place but so far my main suppliers will be trw and ate (trw is part of ZF who also own sachs/boge and also offer a bigger range than brembo, also ate seem to offer a more or less identical range to brembo! even down to grooved discs, except ate offer carbon pads!)
