This is on the new engine.
Already have a new oil and water pumps but what about the oil cooler?
Dont need to change this surely just needs an good clean out to make sure its fully clear.
-
Are you going to go for an aftermarket or genuine OE one? If OE one, I'd change it as they don't cost much.
-
Well that's if they make one!
VW have not made the oil pump since 2010!
Had to go to gsf for that as ECP don't do one!
-
Tried TPS?
-
Worth checking if it's corroded. Then would replace it, they can break through and then you end up with oil and water mixing.
-
Tried TPS?
Not heard of them.
Who,what where are they?
-
I can't see you needed the oil cooler rad, but I would change the cooler housing (that bolts/clamps/sits to the oil filter) as these do age quite badly!
and trade parts service (they are meant to be trade only genuine vw parts but each franchise seems to make there own rules up!!) but they don't sell at trade prices without a proper account (luckily for me!)
-
Boney, it's trade part specialists.

The oil cooler housing is £34.78 inc delivery and there is a choice of 2 (dependant on if the pipes have a gap between them or not) and you'll need a seal which is £3.50 on top
and GOLF-MK3-GTI I have replied to your pm
