Title: Mk2 golf coilovers
Post by: VWchapman17 on 30 November 2013, 21:56
Hi all

I have budget coilovers on my mk2 and they work and function perfectly fine! They aren't wound completely down either. The problem is the rubber sleeve has come apart and ripped and some ripped bits are poking out of the spring so the actual strut isn't being protected at all, not sure on where I can get a replacement or if you can even get one? Everyone seems to say to me.. "Buy a new set"
"Get an air setup"

you could try putting steering rack gaiters on them.

I think my rack gaiters are starting to wear away now anyway so when I replace them soon I shall buy a spare or use an old one to see of it fits, if so.. I'll buy one

You can get them separately. Look for bump stop covers aka strut sleeves
