Hey, I have a noise that starts when going over 60mph and stops when dropping below. (Hopefully the video has uploaded)
Is it the speedo cable or something more sinister?
The speedo works fine.

P.s Ignore the flashing coolant light, i topped it up before driving but didnt turn the ignition off.

Speedo cable, I suspect?

Hope so, I did the instrument cluster bulbs a couple of months ago so maybe I upset it.
Will it need a new one or can it be rectified?
-
I replaced one having done the bulbs on my first 8V. Not hard to get hold of, from memory, but do be careful when you take the gearbox end out that you don't drop the cable drive inside!

Mine did this some years ago, replaced the speedo cable, and it made no difference!
A few months later, while doing the heater matrix, I removed the clocks from the binnacle, and carefully lubricated the moving parts with some "air motor oil" the type used for lubricating air power tools, cured it instantly, and quiet as a mouse ever since...
Try this before you splash out on a new speedo cable.
