Title: Roller Painting
Post by: madman2 on 29 November 2013, 22:43
I was just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations of paint manufactures for roller paint. I'm only after matt black so it doesn't need to be anything too fancy,
Also does anyone know of any good links to check out in regards to the techniques/tips, or have any of you own.
CHEERS!

Small foam rollers, work it hard, then a real good quality bristle brush lightly skimming the top of the rollered surface, but not hard enough to leave brush marks.....

I have rollered a load of steel work which I wanted as a feature in my house and you can get a decent finish.

You get a decent finish, but don't expect a super smooth mirror one.

Kinda old.. but if you are rollering in any colour its advised to mix 3/4 paint in whatever colour and 1/4 mineral spirits to slightly make the paint abit runnier. After that you just ad about 5 couts, sand any massive inperfections and then drop a final coat on. Seen some decent jobs, especially if your going matte black!
