Title: Rear brake discs MK6 golf
Post by: passant on 22 November 2013, 19:49
What size spline socket do I need to remove my rear brake discs?

Does anyone know I think it's an M14, or does anyone know another name for it as no one / no where seem to stock spline sockets!

Alternatively I need these brakes doing ASAP does anyone know how much these will cost to fit?

Help ASAP

Calipers or discs?
I haven't looked at mine yet but the old MkIV had Allen headed bolts on the calipers, and the disc was held with a crosshead screw. On the MKIV it's a simple job to change over.
This might help:

You have to remove caliper and carrier to get to disc off these are bolts as in 13mm and 15mm i think then there is a torx retaining screw holding disc on to hub my disc was stuck to hub so a mallet an chunk of wood was required easy job
