When i excelerate from standstill or after braking i hear a slight knock from underneath the old girl.
What is it and where's the best place to start looking, eng mount, suspension bushes?
Been knocking for about 4 days.
Thanks in advance.

Front or back of car?
-
If i had to guess i would say front to middle. But i have been known to change my rear n/s tyre coz it pulled to the left, only to find a bulge in my front o/s :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed:
-
if its middle could possibly be to do with dog bone mount?
if you have a uprated down pipe on this could be hitting off the dog bone?
-
I had a knocking from same sort of location on acceleration and breaking turned out to be the ARB bush was shot to pieces
-
Had a good look this morning, not the drop links, got a standard down pipe and all bushes looked fine
MOT due soon so took it in this afternoon.... and it passed :lipsrsealed:
Spoke to the technician after and he said maybe the eng bracket underneath the middle of the engine has a bit of play in it but they don't fail it on that
Obviously happy with the 12 month ticket but still have the fault

Centre silencer broken off the bracket and is knocking?

Nope, whole exhaust front to back pretty rigid. Only knocks when i pull off agressively.
