Post by: themylward on 19 November 2013, 18:01
Hi all.

My car was stolen from Alton, Hampshire on Friday 14th November 2013

It's a mk2 GTI 16v, oak green 3dr, big bumper with blue '16v' recaro seats from the G60

Reg J525 LLM (police say it may be on false plates now)

VIN - WVWZZZ1GZNW072996

I'm just trying to put the word out to as many places as possible. If anyone spots it please call the police.

Thanks for looking.

Good luck! Hope you find it!

They can be a target for joyriders, if they were stealing to sell they would pick a car with a higher value and a more common, less easy to spot one! So hold out hope for it being found abandoned in ASDA car park.

Nightmare, should be easily recognisable with them seats. Any other distinguishing features

Thanks for all the kind words. Still no news, unfortunately. Thanks also to those who have shared/linked elsewhere, it is very much appreciated.

Gambit - The car was pretty much standard apart from the seats and momo steering wheel, no real distinguishing features to speak of.

Although, the lacquer on the roof has peeled above the windscreen, and also on the painted section of the front bumper. Only really noticeable close up though.

Car has been recovered by owner, and seems an easy fix once police have done forensics

Yea, I used to work at a garage next to where it was parked, saw it in the car park with flat tyres looking sorry for itself, then looked on here and seen it was reported stolen.

i thought it still had the seats which looked like the most valuable part.
