In keeping with my oem feel ill be keeping the original wheels on my golf. But would like a slightly fatter look.
What sizes would you reccomend front and back?

I have the same wheels and my car is lowered, I was thinking 25mm for the rears and 15mm for the fronts. Although I haven't gotten round to sorting any yet so I guess my view is pointless ha ha, but I measured the gap and that's what I got?

Tbhm unless you're lowering I wouldn't bother :undecided:

I am lowered 35mm...... but it doesnt look that low lol
-
You're right it doesn't look that low lol
Anyways get yourself a straight edge or even better a level, find some good ground and put it up against your arch. Then measure the distance between tyre and arch edge and boom you have a spacer measurement. I'm guessing around 25mm for rears, 20mm for fronts

They h&r springs and are 35mm and were clearly shorter than oem but i expected more of a drop. Just shows how monster truck these cars were!

Kept the o.e.m alloys on my old 1.8t and had 20mm spacers on the front and 25mm rear

thread re lives lol. am i been stupid but it seems the spacers in 25mm and 20mm are like 100 per set for a good brand. is this about right? dont know if i trust any on ebay? anyone got any other suggestions other than h&r etc?

id be looking at around £80-£100 for spacers.
unless your going for small few mm spacers then you will find them a lot cheeper

Well im still looking at oem + look so once coilovers on ill be about 45mm dropped on oem wheels so 25mm rear 20mm front hubcentric. So 200 for full set about right?
