Title: REVERSE GRAUNCHING SOUND

Every morning  reverse the car out of the garage ,and graunching sound ????  drive for 5 mins try reverse ,It's gone ,
this happens in DCC sport suspension ,any Ideas Chaps , Off to the dealer tomorrow anyway ,my Kerb Mirror problem
(not working ) may be solved with a software plug in ,that VW have forwarded by request  :smiley:

Does the noise seem to come from the gearbox? Could be cold oil in there, which then warms up & thins quickly. My MX-5 had a similar issue, although the gearshift itself was also sticky on startup.

In my experience this is comes from the brake disc - when I have had it sounds like exhaust is falling off!

Thanks for the replies Guys ,does sound like the "Old damp brake shoe noise " of old drums !!!  I did notice on the MK7
Loan TDI and sometimes the GTI the brake hold drags the pads , tried leaving the Brakes off overnight ,see what
happens as I reverse into life today  :laugh:
