hello fellas ive been reading up on the thread from the lad who did the 1.8t 4motion and he swaped his head over to an agu head now my question is to save me some pennies do you reckon I could just get the agu engine and put say s3/tt gearbox on it??

yes it started life as a 1.8t though an they done it the hard way if you ask me  :smiley:

pretty sure it will be i might be wrong though  :smiley: my car has a haldex controller on it to adjust the system too

ok so I think im getting the jist of what I wll need

v5/v6 4motion golf
agu engine + loom + ecu +ancillaries + mounts
s3/tt Quattro gearbox
s3/tt front driveshafts
custom turbo back exhaust

and someone to map it up accordingly ie R-Tech

can anyone please confirm this is what I would need and/or other things needed or even how you would go about things

im sure ive had this conversation with you be for haha the s3 is ugly to me haha nah its a good looking car but the golf is NICE! :) was thinking to start off with the k03s then once bored with that garret or k04 hybrid :)

tbh i didnt like my s3 either  :grin: :grin: but i cant imagine doing a conversion will be cheap might be cheaper buyin 1 already done

I know what your saying buddy but im in the army and based in the middle of nowhere and would give me something to do on the lonely nights here lol and you would be supprised mate

v5/v6 £1000 maybe cheaper :)
agu engine + etc 6-700
s3/tt gearbox 250
tt/s3 driveshafts 80 pair
remap..say 3-400

so 2500 ish oh and £40-100 in brew kit lol

He's putting the 1.8T into a 4mo, the other way around would be pointless :grin:

because the v5 is wank lol,I'm seriously looking into this conversion turning my 4mo into a 1.8t best thing to do is buy a 4mo needing work as you will get it cheap,I paid a grand for mine just needs a few rusty front arches and a rusty boot where the handle is,I'm either going to buy an s3 engine box and running gear or just buy a early 1.8t mot failure for about 500 so I have everything I need apart from a k04 turbo
