Hi guys firstly sorry if this has been asked/mentioned 100 times.
What are the best headlight bulbs to fit to give a good light & xenon colour without looking like a boy racer, (are they hard to fit)
P.s. Not wanting to spend silly money replacing the whole headlight unit.
Thanks...

Before I did the Xenon retrofit I had Phillips Blue Vision Ultra fitted and they were the closest to Xenon I found.
In fact I still have them boxed up sitting beside me looking for a good home.
Whereabouts in NI are you?

Live outside Ballymena mate wbu? Are they hard to fit?
I take it the Xenon retrofit is pretty costly?
-
Yes the Xenon retrofit was expensive, although in the end it didn't work out much more than if I had factory ordered them on the car.
The bulbs I have are just a swap for the H7 ones so a five minute job to swap over.
I'm in Dromore. Co Down.

Ahh bit on the far side to travel for 2 bulbs lol, thanks anyway mate

I threw some Osram Night breakers in mine as soon as I got it. Very happy with how much more they light up the road!
-
I have osram NB's in my current ed30 with hella xenon look projector headlights, they are very good but nit overly xenon look.
In my daily runabout hach corsa i have just fitted Bosch plus 90 h4's , as a comparrison i rate these over the osrams, better vision, much whiter look with a subtle blue hue off angle and a much closer look to xenons Imo.
I presume they make them in H7 fitnent as i got these from euro's for a tenner, nearly a third the price of NB's.
Give em a try

I have the osram NB in my car and whilst good I feel I've shafted myself somewhat that since lowering my car I haven't adjusted the angle of my headlights so the actually distance the light is going has been reduced.
Is it even possible to adjust the angle of halogens other than the switch inside.
-
There are two plastic adjusters for the headlights, one for the height, the other for left and right. See picture (borrowed from an Australian site) although it says Xenon, the adjusters are the same.
The left/right is accessible through a gap in the front wing, the height adjustable is easier.
Takes an Allen Key, not sure of the size, around 6mm.

mike did you do the retrofit yourself?
Interested in this. Anything non-xenon now just doesn't cut it
-
Yes did it myself, had the car in pieces and it was only 9 months old
Not sure I would do it again, I had them on my MK5 and thought I wouldn't miss them but that didn't last long
-
Oh, was gonna say I'd pay you to do mine

So then to sum it up so far bulbs recommended are:
Osram night breakers
Phillips blue vision
Bosch plus 90 H7
Maybe as discussed in another thread the H7 bulbs are too bright, I take it the H7 is something to do with the wattage/brightness?
Any other suggestions on these bulbs or any other?
Thanks very much for the feedback guys
