Hello, been away from the forum for some time (nearly 4 years) as sold my MK4 that I converted from a 2.0 8v to a 1.8T, so have bought a MK2 that's been off the road quite a few years. Was delivered to me yesterday and is a project for me.
Its a 1989 GTI 16V 1 owner from new.

lots is the answer, been stood in a barn for 6 years, only runs on 3 cylinders, rear panel under lights down to the bottom valance is rotten, drivers door is rotten. needs a good service & clean out fuel system and then get it through the MOT etc,

Lucky for me this doesn't need VAGCOM
Just DO NOT drop a 1.8T into this one. Look at the grief the last car caused you
