Title: Bonnet with struts on What do i need.

I have seen this on a few golf mk3 how hard is this to do and what do i need i have the struts and bolt on ends available but i need more info on where to fit on how long they need to be if any 1 knows this information of course. :smug:

Loads of people suply them think I got mine from Venom motorsport

Thats if you want chrome ones.

If not fussy then go take a look up top and you will find a thread about using the rear hatch struts for the bonnet

no results i look up the kits online and make my own i have all the materials  :smug:

I was going to say there is a thread about around.... unless like len said you want chrome, I got mine from ebay.de for about £15 the full set up

I went to the breakers and bought a pair of mk3 boot struts and gave them a fresh coat of satin black paint.  Ive had chrome ones in the past and they ended up looking rusty and pitted. At least with the VW ones you know they'll last.
Its worth using some decent washers either side of the wing mounting point to spread the load as ive seen some buckle before.

Only paid $15 for my chrome ones!  :tongue:
