How kuch is it costing you if you dont mind me asking? You can get a cat 1 alarm with immobliser fitted for 250 (toae ai606) or cheaper. I had mine fitted a few years ago and i paid around 240 for it i think

I added it to my 16v and wagon. It's very simple and doesn't cost much at all to do.

I fitted a RClick kit with mk4 style switchblade keyfobs on the 16v with the plug and play adapter they also sell, that took me about 15mins to do (only the indicator wires need splicing) and cost about £45 including getting the keys cut.

I stuck the cheapest possible kit from eBay (£10.75 including p&p) on the wagon which was supplied with two basic fobs so i still use the original keys in the ignition. This required some chopping of the loom that attaches to the central locking pump in the boot.
With the information i gathered on here it was very straight forward and took about an hour with tiding the wiring up etc.

Obviously thats what an installer would charge now but most of the mk3s on the road now are only worth twice that much.

I ripped my alarm out yonks ago, more agro that it was worth. Still got the Cat 1 immobiliser though...
