Hello all not sure if im in the right place for my needs but here goes!
The wife has a 2008 Gt tdi 140 golf and recently the heater blowers stopped working on all speeds along with washer squirters and rear wiper, couldnt find the issue so ended up taking it to chester dealership who diagnosed the fault as coroded contacts on a 75amp relay
Charged us £115 to diagnose issue and clean everything up etc got car back last week all is fine until today! Now its playing up again same problem intermitantly working then not working etc!
Im going to contact dealership again tommorrow but does anyone even know where i would find this said dodgy relay on the car just to have a look at it etc as i can even find ANY relays myself!
Really pissed off and desperately need this sorting as its getting colder and we now have 2 week old baby too!
Any advice/help would be much appreciated
Ps the heater on ours is the manual 4 speed version not the digital climatic type! When blowers dont work they dead on all speeds :-(

Any others im unaware of chaps?

Could be the resistor / switch on the fans themselves :undecided: dont know where that would be though

Fair enough, no reference was made to that in the thread hence the confusion

Right then ive found relays behind coin tray on drivers side dashboard!
Seems i certainly have a faulty connection somewhere as when i wiggle the relay board the fans go on and off etc, cant see/work out exactly whats causing the faulty connection though!
For now i bave managed to jam a piece of hard plastic in there between front of relay board and back of coin tray mount which seems to have done the trick (for now)
So looks like its back to the dealers in morning as they have supposodly fixed this problem and charged me over £100 for the privelege so surely there work must be gauranteed?
Cheers anyway chaps
