Just saw this video on youtube (guy must have taped his mobile phone to the bonnet :smug:) not got mine yet but i am wondering how noticeable all this impressive light dancing action is to the driver?

Very noticeable (and cool) when you switch the car on at night. The lights need to be projecting onto something close-ish for full effect but seeing as they are Xenons and the beams go for miles its still noticable at a distance.
-
Thanks for your comments dippy_x, never had Xenons before either so really looking forward to it - Roll on March 2014

I couldn't see cornering lights on the options or on the standard spec, just that they are xenon's.
Is this something standard?
-
Yep they are standard on the GTD and GTI's. There's an option to adjust them in the system settings so they are definitely there
-
Yup, as said they are standard and i was very pleased about it as some will know! Not sure why it doesn't say in the spec though.
-
That's great news.
Xenon's are the one thing I've had on every single car. Seeing as it's dark so much in the UK, it's something that I need.
Was a bit disappointed as I thought I was going to get these. Just checked the spec and it's something like dynamic curving lights.
Speaking of lights, haven't seen any photos with the fog's on the GTI/GTD, and I saw a gt yesterday with it's cornering lights. Looks a bit tacky. It's says the LED in the brochure, are they yellow ish or similar colour to the xenons?
-
The fogs on the GTI/D are LED's and the same colour as the DRLs and xenons.
This is a good video of the lights:
