I originally changed my water pump about 1000 miles ago I bought a eurocar parts one fitted it and within 40 min it squeeled constantly now I removed that one and bought a gsfcar parts waterpump problem solved apart from a timing belt noise I changed the timing belt yesterday I had to remove the waterpump pulley to get the belt cover off now when I start the car n the squeek is back again not as loud but I can hear it squeeling all the time im so annoyed with this car has anypne else experainced this with the abf as its driving me nuts I dont want to change the water pump for the third also it has a brand new tensioner pulley
-
Are you sure it's the water pump?
-
It must be its coming low down the tensioner pulley is brand new the only thing thats left is the fan belt I checked it theres no cuts or fraying when I had the belt of amd turned the pulley when I rotate the pump it makes a creaking noise
-
Alternator bearing gone ?.Power steering belt too tight ?.
-
Ive been in a similar predicament with my ABF, I ended up changing all three belts, the cambelt tensioner, the auxiliary belt tensioner roller, stripping the alternator, running it with the power steering and A/C pump disconnected.
I even started inspecting other areas including the exhaust manifold, basically it turned out to be an inferior water pump which had only changed about 2000 miles previous.
What kind of condition is your water pump pulley wheel in ?
-
It looks ok the grooves feel fine they havent worn down when I changed my timing belt I took the pulley off to remove it I placed a screw driver through that hole on the pulley to lock the pulley so I can loosen the bolts and the I put it all the back together and the squeeking happens it seems the water pump is so sensitive I guess im gonna have to claim it back through warranty at gsf I guess im gona. have to get the premuim water pump again Instead of the standard one
