So i own a Golf MK3 GTI 8V. I have an Jetex Exahust which was removed from a MK3 16V. Bought it off Khare.
Am i right in thinking that the standard exhaust size on the 8V were 2" (50MM) and on the 16V they were 2.5" (55MM).
The question is, i need a reducer/sleeve to mount the 2.5" exhaust on the 2". How long should the reducer/sleeve pipe itself be?
Thanks.

if it's cat back it will slot straight on (both outlet's from the cat are 55mm)

Yes it's cat back. Thanks for the info boney.

I was thinking of buying that. But I came to the conclusion that for an extra £160 I would rather get a brand new one with fitting.

2.5" is not 55mm

I'll have to check, but from memory I think no, it hasn't got middle mounts on middle box.
