Ive got 1.8t AUM engine with 135k on the clock, will it benefit from fitting one of thwse valve bypasses?
-
Bypass the valve totally worth it
-
Siome engines don't like it and with throw up the management light. I woudn't bother on a standard car. Too much hassle for very little difference.

Its got a bit of a flat spot when its pushed would this get rid of it?

It improves throttle response in my honest opinion

Heres another question for you all. Ive seen on ebay a n249 bypass valve is it better to use one of these or to bypass it using the method in the thread by BaV using just 3mm pipe?
-
Do the by pass shown in the thread worked a treat for me

Ive not got an aftermarket dump valve fitted, would it still work

Mine by pass worked fine with the standard DV

If its still a recirculating valve it will work. You don't wanna be dumping to atmosphere on a 1.8t.
