Hello All,
Just wondered if anybody else has a BW47 (17/11/2013) allocation, I ordered 26/08/2013. Hoping to collect the car mid to late December.
-
Yip I am also on 47  mid December I have been told. If it's anything like my mk6 gtd I will be very happy:-)
-
I'm BW 47 - my first GTI! CSG, Manual, PP, Discover pro, Dynaudio, DCC, Reversing Camera, Leather, Winter Pack, High Beam Assist, Keyless Entry and Rubber mats! Not too sure when to expect it! If it's After week 1 2014 and I'll probably wait for 1st March!
-
Must be a short week this week! Not many waiting!
-
Yeah, it does seem a very quiet week, especially as hopefully BW 47 cars should be built this week.
-
Yes, my GTI is down for this date. I ordered on 25th August.
-
Anybody in the WK 47 club had their Tracker change to build in progress? Mine still shows build week confirmed 17/11/13.
-
Mine hasn't changed yet!
-
Me neither, although my dealer told me this morning that mine "went into the factory" on the 18th
-
My car was due mid December. I was told today that it has now moved out 2 weeks to the start of January. Ah well another 2 weeks to enjoy the mk6
-
Ordered mine in Mid July, tracker updated to show bw 17/11/13, then 2 days ago it jumped to in transit!!!!!! Can this really be the case, As I was really expecting the car to reach me by end Dec/ start Jan .....well confused!!!!
-
Fantastic news if true - fingers crossed it is on its way.
-
Ooh, just checked my order - and the Tracker has jumped from Build Week Confirmed - to In Transit, completely missed out Build In Progress. Anyway, happy days.
Cheers

Mine did the same but it's been stuck at Emden port for nearly a week awaiting a ship :(
-
Anybody have any idea as to which ship(s) would be carrying cars for North England/Scotland in coming weeks?
-
 Build in progress!
-
 Just seen its now in transit! Must have been a productive week in the VW factory
-
My trcker is showing
Your car is in the final stage of its journey to the UK. On average it takes 10 days from build for this model to reach your local Volkswagen Retailer.
Hopefully it'll be ready mid December.
-
Tracker now showing it has arrived in the UK.
-
Ive been told mine is in the country and should be ready to collect in about ten days time. I asked if the mdi lead will be for a iphone 4 and the response was it will be iphone 5!!!! now I have a iphone 4s and I felt for the people that had an Iphone 5and had to get an adaptor and now look how the tables have turned.... how do i get it from a iphone 4 to a iphone 5???

Hi, your best off buying the red-collor official VW MDI cable... this is the cable which allows Album Art & iTunes Movie playback.
I need to decide myself as to what to do... for the time being I'm going to nick my brother blue-collar MDI lead......
-
Maybe some guys on here might want to swap there iphone 4 lead for iphone 5?
-
What stage are you guys' BW47 cars at now?
My tracker is still saying "in transit", with 3 weeks to go, so it's most likely sitting at Emden port awaiting a boat, but has been there nearly 2 weeks now
Been looking on MarineTraffic.com and both the Weser Highway and Schelde Highway carriers have just arrived at Emden late Saturday night, so I'm hoping it gets onto one of those tomorrow and I should see the tracker change to "10 days".
I'm going away to Ireland for Christmas/new year on sat 21st and I was intending to take the new car, what do you guys reckon my chances of getting it before then are?
Am going to give customer services a bell tomorrow and enquire/have a whinge. I've read a few cases where the tracker hasn't updated, and gives the impression it's still in Germany when in fact it has arrived in the UK, so will see what VW say tomorrow.
Cheers,
Gareth

I can see the grand legacy is also heading for Emden at the moment. Schelde highway is heading for Grimsby now. Any idea which ship goes to sheerness?
-
How do you guys which ships carry the cars?
-
I use an app on my phone called shipfinder. You can also use marinetraffic on the web :)

The Grand Legacy hasn't been to the UK for ages though:

Good news on the Schelde Highway, although my tracker hasn't changed to "10 days", which (if it's accurate) would indicate it's not on that boat :(
-
What are the "BW47 Changes" that I see being talked about on the forums? What changed?
-
The Weser highway also does runs to Grimsby and currently at emden. Arrived at 0200 this morning. I reckon our cars will be in the UK either tomorrow or the day after.
-
Do the ships do a stopping off trip ie Emden Tyne Grimsby Sheerness Emden? Or is it a single journey each time?
-
Some might, but the vast majority I've seen just seem to stop at one UK port then return back to the continent, but not always to Emden (most likely taking UK-built cars to take back on the return journey), then head to Emden once they've dropped those off.
-
Hehe, the Schelde Highway might be here in a few minutes if Marine Traffic is to be believed!!

So I have just spoken to VW Customer Services, who tell me my car has arrived in the UK and has been assigned a car transporter lorry, so should be getting it at the end of this week, or early next week.
This is despite the tracker still saying "In Transit" with 3 weeks to go.... ???
-
Yeah, my tracker says arrived UK. Dealer reckons they'll have it ready for collection Thursday morning. Happy Days.
Cheers
-
Great news folks..... mine came a head of when I was expecting it.
Looks like Volkswagen are back on track now.
As long as dealerships give REAL expectations to customers about up to 25 weeks lead times, there shouldnt be too many unhappy customers.

Just for double clarification, just rang my dealer and he said they are expecting it to be delivered to them tomorrow :) and that they will be ringing to arrange delivery/collection.
Can't wait.
Annoying that the tracker still says 3 weeks though!

I got an email this morning too, certainly brightened up my Monday morning (:
