Hi all,
Just recently I was driving on the motorway with my son in the passenger seat so I decided to lock down all of the doors using the locking button on the inside of the drivers door. The next time I went to lock the car using the central locking the passenger door wouldn't lock.
I can get it working occasionally (I haven't figured out a particular method yet) by opening the passenger door manually with the key, re-locking it using the key, pressing the locking button on the drivers door again and generally having a fiddle. A couple of days later though it will stop working again.
Has anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?
EDIT - just to add its a 5 door and all of the other doors and boot operate with the central locking absolutely fine.
Thanks in advance.

It will be the locking module. It is possible to fix without buying a brand new one but rather fiddly.
Check if the puddle light comes on when you open the door, this could be a sign that it is the door module.
Also check if the interior light comes on when you open the passenger door.
Matty on here will know more about it he's just changed both door modules on his Golf.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I havent got puddle lights but I checked last night and when I open the door the interior light does come on.
Does that mean in might not be the module?
