Title: VMC Letter

I got a letter in the post today from the VMC ..vehicle mileage check...
they are asking about my new gti, they quote the licence plate of my personal number and say you may know the vehicle as the previous number, and it goes on to say as the previous registered keeper of the vehicle???
Ive only had the car a month lol...
What is this letter on about.

I'd ring the DVLA if I were you.

Sounds like a scam.  Getting details about your car and personal details of the owner.  The DVLA shouldn't be sending that...

i don't think its a scam, at least i hope not as they have all the details of the car on the letter, gti performance pack etc

I don't think this is a scam, as I got a letter from VMC once after I'd sold a car to a colleague, who then changed the registration plate to a personal one.

Not sure why they would send the letter to the "same" keeper when the registration plate is changed though.
