Title: Wet day at Brands
Post by: T_J_G on 06 November 2013, 14:53
Went up to Brands this morning, was VERY wet. Got soaked right through. However the camera and lens survived thankfully.

Two of my faves:

Crop less - otherwise the images could be 'any track any where'

As per one of the points raised here:

Which is a fun read

Quite enjoyed that read...I do agree...

However, I like that the images could have been shot anywhere, it's not a race that needed documenting. They're pictures of nice cars. Also there is so much clutter around tracks that you're options are very limited as to where you can shoot from.

Unless you shell out the £70 a year on public liability insurance!

E&L include public liability in their camera/photograph insurance:

Sadly not the £5m required by UK tracks!

I'm pretty sure we've made enquiries before and it wasn't just insurance that was required. Was a while ago though.

Depends on the event and organisers.  They do have resident photographers and I suspect they pay to be there, so it may be that you're treading on their toes which is the issue.

Certainly at the 750MC's events, anyone with PLI is welcome along!
