Title: Alernators - Where to get more powerful ones
Post by: j_s on 22 August 2005, 14:09
Hi guys

I believe my standard GTI 8v alternator is 65amps, where can I get one of 90+ from that will bolt straight in and any idea of how much it could affect petrol consumption?
I have seen them at GFS or Eurocarparts but they don't seem to be Bosch items and preferably want something reliable and will last for a while at least.

I got one from my local alternator/starter motor repair guy brand new for about £120. It basicly looks the same and wont affect your petrol consumption at all.
