Title: golf mk4 radio problem

Hi was driving my car the other day and my speakers started crackling and popping a little bit. And then cut out completely including the actual radio system. I've managed to get the radio working but the speakers still wont work they just crackle a little when i turn the key in the ignition and the radio has gone back to default mode. Any advice please?

Re-check the wiring.connector at the back of the unit.
